The 8th of March 2011, the Italian Government made an operation called “ORO NERO” (Black Gold) in order to control and safeguard the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena I.G.P.
Acetaia La Bonissima passed the examination: it has been established the TOTAL REGULARITY of the PRODUCTION and LABELLING of ALL OUR PRODUCTS.

We are pleased to inform you that on the 6th December 2010, the Ministero delle Politiche Agricole Alimentari e Forestali (Italian Department of Agricultural, Food and Forest Policy)published the indications concerning the use of the word "Balsamico" (Balsamic) in order to guarantee the protected designation of origin and the protected geographical indications.
[...] The word 'balsamico' is not compatible with the principles and the national and European rules when it is used to designate products which are similar to the three registered denominations: [...] "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena", "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia" and "Aceto Balsamico di Modena", [...] sine it is evocative of said denominations, and it is aimed to take unfair advantage of the reputation of the DOP and IGP in subject, which are protected under the Article13, par. 1 and 2 of the Regulation (CE) n. 510/2006.
All this said, it is however allowed to use the reference of the three registered designations in the labels of the compound products, provided this is made in copliance with the provisions set forth by D.Lgs n.297/2004, and namely under previous authorization of the recognized Consortium for Protection, if existing, or in the contrary by the Italian Ministero delle politiche agricole alimentari e forestali.

Acetaia La Bonissima, careful to its country, where the main ingredients of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP grow, in order to protect the enviromental heritage, has decided to install PHOTOVOLTAIC TECHNOLOGY to produce SUSTAINABLE ENERGY.

We are very proud to announce that Acetaia La Bonissima is the first producer of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP to introduce Braille on vinegar packaging. Each label and package has information embossed in Braille so that blind consumers can be informed on the product.

This new lock system allows the consumers to use easily the product through a pratical drop stop cap. It helps during the dosage and avoids vaste of product.
